Summary
Several hundred years after the terran domestication campaign, an unlucky Affini gets sent back in time to 21st century earth. Stranded in time and severely wounded, Stellate Monad has to figure out a way to save herself, and domesticate the much earlier version of humanity she has found herself surrounded by. Surely this task will be easy and have no complications whatsoever.

Summary
Commander Mae Richards doesn't believe in the Free Terra nonsense her crewmates spout. For the aging rebel, fighting the Affini is a matter of avenging her dead wife, Alisha.
But when she is captured, she learns that Alisha is actually still alive. Despite the humiliations of being treated like a dependent, padded, infantilized child, the Compact saved her beloved and they're being reunited. That's all that matters.
There's just one problem. Alisha's a human pet now too. And their new shared owner Oleaceae has apparently decided that Mae is actually her wife's baby sister instead. And Mae only has until the three of them arrive at the affini ship the Karcade until Oleaceae can put a mind control device in Mae's spine and make sure she agrees.

Summary
Andromeda is an adult, she can be an adult and deal with things like her boss changing her daily routine, she can handle this and definitely does not have a meltdown and regress about it and definitely doesn't spiral until an Affini comes to check up on her. Said Affini definitely does not find her the most adorable thing in the compact and decide to take her more or less on the spot.

Lovely little short story!
