Summary
“You’re Ilya Rozanov, right?” Dimirty walks up to Ilya and holds out his hand with a smile. “Captain, yes?”
Ilya nods, “Yes.” Did… did Dimitry not recognize him? Was he so old he was becoming like Grigori? A little spark of hope shoots through him. He could do this, he could survive this again. Four months, and then he’d be gone for good. And besides, he’s older now. He’s not a kid, he’s not Dimirty’s type anymore.OR
When LeClaire goes on paternity leave and the new guest coach is brought in, Ilya finds himself facing old traumas and gaining new ones. Ilya thought he’d been able to escape the man who assaulted him and leave his traumas behind for good. Instead, Ilya finds himself in the same predicament he did when he was just a kid in Russia. He thinks no one notices his suffering, but Cliff Marlow does, and so does Scott Hunter. Together, they do their best to protect Ilya from his old coach.

Svetlana’s voice is tense, “Rose suggested I reach out to you. We have an omega here who needs a place to live and I was wondering if you’d be willing to house him.”
“Me?” Shane blurts out, “Why me?”
“Because, I believe having a familiar face will help him.”
“A familiar face?” Shane is even more confused than before, “I mean I know I’m a hockey player-”
“No,” Svetlana cuts him off. “The omega is a former hockey player, and there’s mention that you two have crossed paths before. Do you remember Ilya Rozanov?”-
Right before the MHL draft, Ilya Rozanov went missing after presenting as an omega. Years later, he turns up at an auction house where he’s rescued after a police raid. However, due to his unpredictable nature, Ilya is sent to live with star hockey player, and former crush, Shane Hollander.

Summary
Ilya Rozanov no longer existed.
After he presented as an Omega seven years ago, his fate was sealed and he spent the intervening years learning his place.
He never expected to end up in an Omega shelter in Ottawa, being placed with a sponsor to help him gain his Canadian asylum citizenship due to his designation.
He *certainly* never expected to be placed with the Alpha who he'd played against all those years ago, the Alpha with the soft doe eyes and the beautiful freckles.
And what he finds there?
Well, those things were the most unexpected discoveries of all.

Summary
Rose volunteers for a nonprofit that rescues sex-trafficked omegas, and Shane thinks it's a great cause. He even attends their fundraising galas.
Then, one night, Rose calls to ask for a favor: She wants Shane to let a recently-rescued male omega live with him. In his apartment.
His name is Ilya, Rose explains, and the thing is, despite omega hormone levels, he acts and smells just like an alpha. He can't keep staying in an omega group home because he's scaring the other omegas and endangering the staff.
But he could live with Shane, Rose insists. "You're a big strong alpha hockey player, so he can't intimidate you physically. But also he needs to feel safe, which he can with you, because you're not like other alphas." She pauses. "You know?"
By which she means Shane has never had a full rut, his scent glands barely work, he can't form a knot, and he has no interest in sticking his dick in anyone. Which, whatever. It's fine.
But if being a failure as an alpha means he can help this omega, Ilya, who's apparently as much of a biological anomaly as Shane is…
Shane says yes.
And maybe it's a stupid decision. But he knows that it's also the right one.
