The girl’s eyes snap to Ben. “You’re a Jedi? I thought those were a myth.”
“I am not a Jedi,” Ben retorts. Not anymore. “Look, we need to get out of here before that Crolute and his goons come sniffing around. If you can really fix the hyperdrive, let’s get to it.”
Still peering at him intently, as if he might have a secret Jedi insignia stamped in the leather of his blaster holder, the girl scowls in indignation. She’s pretty, Ben thinks, then immediately tosses that thought out the airlock.

Somehow, Palpatine never returned. But the Force still needs a dyad—and the mystical fabric of the universe doesn’t care about things like how much clothing the members of said dyad are wearing when it connects them.
