Regular illness is a normal part of everyday life to many, but a very small percentage of the population suffers from an added condition, colloquially known as “being really weird about it.” This study explores a variety of methods in improving symptoms of illness, with data collected through lying, manipulation, and pointlessly complicated schemes. Additionally, it examines the relationship between the researcher and his subject, The Sick Freak. “Any chance you’re willing to help me take the stitches out then?” Peter asks, “The wounds already closed, and my healing factor makes them heal over if I don’t take them out quick. Think I can get most of them, but not the ones on my back.”
“Hey, no worries, Petey. I can take ‘em all out. Pulling your own stitches out is a bitch and a fuckin half,” Wade offers, patting the Futon next to him for Peter to scooch closer. When he shuffles up, Wade helps him take the oversized shirt off and starts gently prodding at some of the bigger wounds, all of them practically closed.
Peter felt an unexplained, pleasant kind of nervous energy being this close to Wade. He can feel the heat coming off the merc from this close. Even with the gloves on, the press of Wade's hands makes his heart pick up a bit.

Wade struck.
In a blur of motion, gleeful and merciless, he surged forward. His gloved hand clamped the loose end of the chain, jerking Peter’s arm backward. The other cuff swung wide, and with a deft flick of his wrist, like he’d been practicing all his life, Wade snapped it shut around Peter’s free hand. Another click rang out, final, smug.
Both wrists caught. Arms yanked behind Peter's back.
