Summary
It all started with an inconvenient erection and an honest question. Are you attracted to me? What if Jane and Lisbon were intimate before there was enough trust to navigate the feelings that arise? How would that impact their partnership and how they move forward both as individuals and with each other? Alternative universe from 2x11 but I retain the right to pull in elements from later episodes as I choose. Should expect spoilers through the end of the RJ arc. I can’t promise anything but a happily ever after. Expect angst. And, as the rating suggests, there are a number of very explicit scenes in this story.

A few hours later, Lisbon winds herself around his body, under his arm, as she helps him hobble out of the airport. The man he was before would call this a win. But this is not winning, this is his path back to that peace he had in her arms all those months ago. She has now seen him as he is: that trembling, dark animal in the road, flayed open to his grieving and greedy soul, unable to escape the horrors of the open road. But Lisbon has stopped the car for him. She’s taking him home.
Peace is coming.

Summary
Lisbon thinks Jane loves the work, and she’s half-right. He loves the work, sure, but only because he loves doing the work with her. The banter, the satisfaction, the way they get to play together. He enjoys pushing the boundaries of what Lisbon is willing to do to catch criminals, and he can now admit it makes him hot to watch her brilliant brain whirl as she draws her own conclusions.

Summary

To alleviate the boredom at work, the CBI (and later, FBI) team creates a morbid bingo game: tracking crimes committed by men dressed as Santa Claus. What was meant to be a passing joke turns into a years-long tradition, an absurd constant that survives city moves, career changes, relationships, and even the growth of their own families.
