    Prince Mingi and his sister, Princess Jihye, were children when their kingdom was stolen from them. Their parents; the king and queen, were brutally assassinated, and the siblings were hidden away to keep them alive, for whatever reason.
    With the royal family presumed dead, the king’s advisor claimed the throne. His son, Yunho, became the new prince. To the kingdom’s relief, Yunho grew into a kind, charismatic ruler—beloved by the people and seen as a symbol of peace.

    Years later, everything changed; again. Mingi returned, alive, and with the support of the knights, reclaimed the throne. The advisor and Yunho vanished without a trace. One mystery lingered: why had only Mingi returned?
    Yunho soon learned the truth—he had been taken prisoner. Though he never wanted the throne, he didn’t know his father was the one who had ordered the assassinations that destroyed Mingi’s family. Now, Mingi sought revenge, and Yunho was part of the price.

    Mingi promised Yunho would not make it out of this alive. But time passed, and captivity became companionship. When vengeance melts into empathy, Mingi must decide—can he keep his promise?
