Winged Grace AU where Simon washes up on the shores of Erid following the events of Iron Lung
OR
Humans have wings in Grace’s universe, humans do NOT have wings in Simon’s universe— que the “Simon thinks Ryland Grace is an Angel” tag.
Grace is just as confused. -

Summary
“Simon?” Grace tries out the name, the syllables rolling of his tongue. To his surprise, Simon looks up. He looks scared and confused, regardless of how harsh his bark may come off or unnatural his eyes are. Grace longs to help him.
“Can you c’mere, please? So I can show you proof I’m not lying to you?” Grace asks with a new wave of patience. Simon looks away and doesn’t move, choosing to glare at the wall.
“I don’t bite,” Grace reassures.
“What if I do?” Simon warns, tone too soft to be threatening.
Grace sits down with a grunt, crisscrossed on the floor from where he stood with the laptop settled on his lap.
“Then that’s a risk I’ll just have to take.”
-Dialogue from Chapter 4
OR -
Ryland Grace has been living happily on Erid the past year, or so he believes. He loves his comforts and small wins of his everyday, but when he’s alone it feels as though something’s missing.
Maybe this hard around the edges and mysterious stranger, the only human he’s made contact with in years, will become a friend.
Maybe something more, as his foolish soft heart always holds onto hope.
Art now in chapter 5 as a treat while I write more ❤️

Summary
"Yes. He must be dead.
The blood eel had taken his left arm from him in the end. More than that even. His eye. His mouth.
And apparently also his life.
Simon drifts. It's so dark here, the pitch black making it impossible to tell if his eyes are open or shut.
'This... Isn't so bad.' The thought comes to him as if pulled from a vat of molasses.
He could stay like this. It was... Peaceful. In a way that he knew for a fact that he didn't deserve. Maybe the divine had granted mercy on his tarnished soul. Maybe The Last Tree had seen his devotion. Had seen his sacrifice at the end of it all and decided an afterlife of nothing was a fitting punishment.
Simon let his body relax into the void.......
Or he would have, if it wasn't suddenly so LOUD.
There was an awful grinding noise, like metal being ripped apart.
And suddenly, there was LIGHT."Series
- Part 1 of Ryland Grace is too charming, statement.
