Summary
Thirteen years ago Arthur Brown murdered his wife and daughter, plead not guilty in court and got sentenced to life in prison without possibility of parole. Now, over a decade later, he escapes Arkham Asylum, hellbent on making Gotham pay for his loss.
As the Bats struggle to counter the self-proclaimed Cluemaster's attacks, Tim finds himself obsessively researching the case, convinced something is amiss with the present. Troubled with Arthur's riddles and motives, he starts to question everything he knows about the events of the past.

Just outside of a house that has barely felt like a home for the mother and daughter that have lived there for so long that they can’t fathom to call it anything but “home”, and has been witness of more pain and trauma than some could without crying, another tale of anguish and sacrifice is written down on the pages of the Gotham, a city of tragedy big or small, a city that quakes in every sense, a quake where people let others fall through the cracks and be left forgotten, that, is the sad truth of this city. And yet, just outside of this house where a police car once waited for Arthur Brown, a barely remembered villain, to be taken into custody, now an ambulance is waiting for Stephanie Brown, a vaguely known hero, to be helped out of her home. For this young hero is carrying a new life, and maybe just this once, tonight nobody falls through the cracks, nobody is left forgotten and alone.
