He felt the alpha notice the shift, as acutely as he felt the weight of his body slowing down - paralytic, he remembered overhearing. But he was still a force, still a demon in human form. Only once he'd brained the last one with the butt of Shuusui did he falter, and fuck, take a knee on the cobblestone.
