“Where’s your head at Jess?” Beau had caught her staring again, and Jester kicked herself internally for being so painfully obvious. But how could she not stare. They’d been crammed into the mini-van for four days straight from their last travel break and the first thing Beau had done after securing them a room together while the others fought an epic battle of roc-pegasus-salamander to work out the remaining rooms, was dash up the stairs and call dibs on the shower. Now here they were, Beau with her hair down and slightly damp, dressed only in her boy shorts and sports bra basking under the shitty aircon on their shared bed.

Summary
Two houses, nothing alike in dignity, go head to head in the local Student Pub Quiz.
Ymir is an Honors Student in English and Linguistics. Historia is a third year Law student. Ymir works part time as a campus security guard and Historia occasionally works as a bartender for events. One night, Historia makes the mistake of going down to the main Library on campus instead of the Law Library. It's all downhill from there.
This is, for the most part, a light hearted story about friendships forming, political uprisings, falling in love and fierce team rivalry. (Pairings and characters will be added as I update - looking for someone to help QC/Beta read as I can't use grammar to save my life...).
*EDIT AS OF October 2020 - I currently live and work in Japan. I don't know if this will ever get finished. I've moved on from SnK due to some of the stuff that happened in later chapters (and the author being a bit more than a bit of a dick) that kind of killed my vibe, but if I ever finish reading the manga I might come back to this and write it as an everybody lives and the queer coded characters aren't killed off or forced to have babies kind of catharsis.....

As Vi methodically worked her way through empty corridors, she considered her options to deal with her current situation. 'The Caitlyn conundrum!', she snickered to herself.
She was weighing up the cost of setting up a duplicate academy when the distinctive click of heels on tile made her freeze. Mid-mop stroke. The rhythmic clicking echoed through the corridor as a familiar figure approached. Vi's heart rate quickened as she caught a glimpse of navy blue hair rounding the corner.
Vi briefly considered dumping the contents of the bucket on the ground and making a break for it. Those heels, insanely long legs and slippery floors were a perfect combination. At the very least it would buy her some time. The janitor imagined herself bounding away with all the poise of a graceful gazelle. Leaving the blue haired hunter in her soapy wake. Annoyingly, she then realised she would be the person responsible for cleaning up the resulting mess.
Or
Janitor Vi skips out on her one-night stand, who is way out of her league. She doesn't expect her to be introduced as Piltover Academy's new physics professor the next morning.

The words slipped between them like an unadorned vow. Yet it somehow sank into Caitlyn’s chest like weightless gravity.
Her whole body went still.
She forgot how to breathe.
For a second, she almost thought she was underwater again, but not drowning. Just suspended and floating. Held.

Caitlyn, a marine biologist, and Vi, a scuba diver, go on a six-month research expedition in Jervis Bay, Australia. And everything becomes sort of a midsummer night's dream.
