Summary
Byleth, quite simply, was sick of how things had gone.
Killing Rhea, Dimitri, Claude, and more? Leaving Seteth and Flayn to become hermits? He could not abide it.
Abandoning Edelgard and letting Rhea die? Watching Dimitri and Claude disappear? He would not allow it.
Seeing Edelgard become a monster just for a last-ditch effort at stopping Dimitri? Watching Dimitri devolve into a feral beast? He couldn't accept it.
Letting Dimitri and Rhea die again?Watching his father die? Over, and over, and over again?!
No. He was sick of it all.
So, it was time to turn back the hands of time once more.

Those days, he held Shiho a little tighter than usual. Let her sleep in a little longer. Made her breakfast just a little sweeter. She wasn’t a fluffy pancake morning person. No, she was a “dear god please let me sleep longer and shove some toast in my mouth” sort of person.
So when he woke up to find her gone one night, he was a little surprised. She usually slept straight through the night. Morgana was balled up where her feet should have been, his little ears twitching. Her spot was still warm, so he knew he’d only just missed her… but something told him that he’d missed her. Ren ran a hand over her pillow and climbed carefully out of bed to the bathroom, where the light was off.
Then, a sweater in hand, he stalked his way into the kitchen, where the stovelight was on.

“Come on, Ren-kun,” Yukari nudges Ren as he slumps. “I dove into being Pink Argus with little experience myself, and I haven’t regretted it since. Maybe you’ll feel the same.”
Ren thinks about it. His life really couldn’t and shouldn’t revolve completely around the shadow world, he supposes. And he’s not obligated to do any more than this if acting doesn’t agree with him after all.
Ann’s going to freak. Futaba is going to lose her shit.
“You remember the Phantom Thieves of Hearts business a few years back?” The director asks. “It won’t be a complete one to one, but I do have to admit that this series’ plot is loosely based on it.”
Okay, now that’s just unfair. Now Ren has to take the role.
So that’s how Ren becomes a Featherman Ranger.
Or, Amamiya Ren becomes a Featherman actor, bases his character off Akechi, and the real Akechi Goro disastrously simps from afar.

Summary
When it comes to grief, it’s true when they say that time doesn’t heal all wounds. Another thing that they say is that healing from grief comes in five stages, but they always fail to point out that such healing was never meant to be linear.
While cleaning and packing away her things in preparation to move in with her fiancée Ren Amamiya, Makoto Niijima stumbles upon a certain item from her most prized possessions box - the item that should have given her a wave of nostalgia but instead, reminds her loss of a beloved parent.
But through processing and gaining a deeper insight regarding her grief, she comes to a conclusion that things do fall into place in the way it's meant to be.
