Summary

WWX has successfully escaped Carp Tower and cleared LWJ’s reputation. The Jin are looking for the mysterious beta who spread the rumors but dgaf about MXY’s wellbeing. LWJ has taken WWX to a safe inn. He’s figured out WWX isn’t MWY and is actually a transmigrated soul. WWX told him his real name. The Heavens are now aware there’s a traitor among them. Hua Ming did a psych evaluation on Ren Yi and figured he wasn’t in control when he killed Pei Su. In fact, it’s likely the traitor triggered his dissociative state on purpose to pit him against the family he was about to marry into. The traitor is suspected to be one of He Bai’s senior-most deputies.
Mo Shen has established his sect with Lan Wanjun’s consent. He built a temple to Hua Ming in Caiyi and has taken on 3 young disciples, all orphans. One of them is from across the rift. He’s hired 2 part-time employees to help with the temple and the disciples.
Lan Haoran and Hua Liang are obsessed with one another, but still won’t admit it aloud. The situation with Lan Jun is still tense. The new Jiang sect leader is under a lot of pressure. Jin Yanli, too. She’s not a strong candidate for the sect leader position, unlike her distant cousin.
Hua Ming and Mo Shen get frisky on his birthday. She meets the kids and likes them and her temple. We learn more about Sun Haoran and the night his family was killed. We get the villains’ POV. We saw 3 of them: the teenager who’s the grandmaster of demonic cultivation, a very pretty man who’s actually ugly inside, and a mysterious masked man who wants Lan Haoran dead because he’s afraid of him.
Hua Liang and Lan Haoran go on a ‘date’ in Gusu. They talk about love, and it turns out LHR spends lots of time at the arcade bc he’s incognito there. XIe Lian and Ren Yi finally talk, and they think the evil emperor should be overthrown by someone from RY’s world. We learn that the doctors there are fearsome.

Last time: after the beach episode filler arc during which WWX and LWJ had plenty of cute moments together, LWJ left Lotus Pier to hide the Jiang sect’s treasures and weapons. He also fetched LXC, who was being sheltered by Meng Yao. LWJ also hid away quite a few Jiang disciples. He then went back to Lotus Pier during the attack by the Wen. He helped during the fight, but like in canon, defeat was inevitable, and Madam Yu and Jiang Fengmian sent the kids away.
