Katniss finds all of the true, unedited footage, and some footage he doesn't even know how they got, of the 50th Hunger games, so of course she watches.
Basically just a Haymitch telling his story fic but way more in detail because I feel like all of the ones I've read skip over the actual story, except Katniss accidentally has like no emotions or thoughts the entire time because I'm not good at that, but I did try, you just cannot tell.
Probably suuuuuupeeerrrr out of character, and ignore the physics of this story please!!!😔🦅

Everyone around him was waiting for him to break. Multiple teachers had pulled him aside to tell him that he could leave class early whenever he needed to. Asterid and Willamae seemed to be corresponding behind his back, as new bottles of sleep syrup appeared weekly on his nightstand. Burdock stuck to him like glue, afraid that Haymitch would have some sort of psychotic break or slit his wrists if he was left alone with his thoughts for longer than five minutes. Even Tam Amber and Clerk Carmine were going soft on him.
District 12 had never had a victor before. They didn’t know what to do with him.
