It was the beginning of summer in 1977 when you received your letter of acceptance from Columbia University for their Ancient History Doctoral Program. You had just graduated with your master's degree the year before and wanted to continue your education despite your parent's opinion. Your parents were the traditional type. Strong Alpha dad and emotional Omega mom. Your dad went to work while your mom stayed home despite you being the baby of the family. They had expected the same for you to go out and find someone to settle down and start a pack with, but that wasn't in the cards for you. You were thirsty for whatever knowledge the world decided to throw at you. You haven't even presented, so you assumed you were just a beta. When you arrived at Columbia, it was a big change from what you were used to. Packs of Alphas and Omegas running around without their traditional parents breathing down their necks and numerous things to do. If only you could learn to speak up and demand a seat at the table especially when graduation is right around the corner.

Far more than you've experienced with your mother. A life of luxury and wealth. Servants and crownsguard waited on you hand and foot and King Regis held you to the highest regard. He saw you as a daughter and you didn't live without anything. All that was promised in return was laying down your life for Noctis; which you would gladly do.

Baldur's Gate was always seen as a city of opportunities on the Sword Coast. Many years before you and your twin brother Tavrius (Tav-ree-us), your mother had fled the Underdark to the safety of the city. She had longed to escape Lolth's cult and become a free drow. She was one of the few in the city at the time. That's probably what drew your human father to her and why he doesn't argue against her decision. You and Tav were both raised very differently. Your mother doted on him. The drow saw males below females. This is probably why there was such a difference, or so you've come to believe. She wouldn't let him leave without you to guard him. It just so happens that this time, there was a need.
