The chancellor is the most vocal, but for all that the Guard won't say anything to his face, the whispers that stop when he comes close, the avoidances, the little inconveniences and provocations, all of it spells the message out clearly. Summary
Thorn would like to speak to whomever is in charge of the lower levels. Muck and grime pollute the streets, railings are missing every second step he takes, and there's less functional lights than Chancellor Palpatine has good ideas! Cold, tired and counting down the seconds until he can return to his bunk for blissful sleep, the Commander doesn't think this day could possibly get any worse. What's next, an evil space wizard falling out of the sky? ...In hindsight, Thorn may have jinxed himself a little bit...
On an unrelated note, a Dark Lady of the Sith finds herself wandering Coruscant's underworld and bumps into a very weird Stormtrooper who keeps calling her a General. Since the Empire hasn't had a war in a good thousand years or so, said Sith Lady inquires further...only to discover herself surrounded by a Galactic Goverment that shouldn't exist, with names heard only in history classes and millions of sentient rights violations bleeding and dying across the stars. Whichever Lord is responsible for this is going to get a piece of her mind...as soon as she figures out why these Jedi are so worried about her stabbing them...

Summary
Jaster Mereel was fully willing to accept death when it came for him. He didn't think it would happen with a knife in his guts, or via Ion Cannons fired by cowardly Kyr'tsad who couldn't dare to look him in the eye as he was obliterated...but despite the hard pill to swallow, he was prepared to join the Manda after his failure on Korda Six. What the Mand'alor was not at all ready for, happens to be a towering, extremely cryptic Sith Lord who appeared out of nowhere to save his life.
Apparently, Darth Vader claims 'the Force had sent him'. Dar'jetii osik, that's what Jaster understood. But with Death Watch on the run, and the fate of Mandalore potentially in the hands of a Sith not hellbent on seeing them all bend the knee...he wasn't stupid enough to question his good luck. Now, if only he could get back the Darksaber, figure out where this ancient fossil crawled out of, and keep the Republic from discovering his existence, Jaster might just manage to make do with this. Oh, and Vader was hot under the mask. Kriff it all...
