Summary
Basically the main tenant of Kara’s plan is making sure not to stare at Lena ALL of the time. Not focusing on the plump of Lena’s lips as they stretch over a smile. Not getting shipwrecked in the storm-laden-Sea color of Lena’s eyes. Not letting her gaze track over each hill and valley of Lena’s soft, supple, body.
It feels impossible, but it isn’t. She's managing fairly well, all things considered.
Until Lena picks up a new hobby.

Summary
Instead of getting Ruby a gift for finishing middle school, Lena was asked to take care of herself properly. Sam and the rest of the Super Friends jumped in and asked Lena to do things with them instead of buying things for them. Kara hadn’t asked for anything. When she finally unveils her request, is it something that Lena is even capable of giving?

Summary
Kara opened her arms, allowing Lena to scoot into them, the two forgoing any sense of separation as they let the quiet of night envelop them. “They never found her Claddagh ring,” Lena whispered.
Kara tilted her head down, nuzzling into Lena’s hair. “Your mother had a Claddagh ring?” Kara asked.
She knew of the tradition - an Irish ring, with three symbols. The band had two hands to symbolize friendship, holding a heart to symbolize love, topped with a crown to symbolize loyalty. The rings tended to be simple, but warm, indicating engagement and marriage depending on how it was worn.
“It was given to her by her grandmother,” Lena murmured tiredly. “She lost it when we were playing in the water. Not long before…”
---
An Irish family heirloom is long lost. But maybe Kara can change that.
