Summary
The Uchiha massacre never occurred, the Kyuubi was never unleashed, and the Fourth Hokage still wears the hat. Konoha should be at peace. Instead, three shinobi are found dead in the same week, their souls seemingly ripped from them without explanation.
Asami Uchiha, the youngest daughter of Fugaku and Mikoto, works within the Military Police Force’s Investigative Unit and is paired alongside Shikamaru Nara to investigate the deaths.
As the case deepens, the illusion of harmony within Konoha begins to crack. Though the Uchiha remain intact, no one can avoid the darkness people hold within themselves, or the wounds carried from generations before them. Konoha is a young village built by idealists who underestimated what it meant for clans who had been at war for generations to live together in peace.
Faced with unsettling truths about the clan and village she has spent her life fighting for, Asami must decide what deserves her faith, and whether a better future is still worth working toward.

Summary
