Clorinde's calm gaze drifted lazily over the pages of her book, her fingers casually flipping through as if nothing in the world could disturb her peace. Navia, however, was anything but calm, her hands trembling as she tugged at Clorinde’s necktie, her lips pressing against the smooth skin of her neck, a frustrated whine caught in her throat.
“Clorinde…” Navia groaned, her voice low and desperate. She had been waiting—struggling—for what felt like hours as Clorinde remained perfectly still inside her, her composure unshaken. The constant squeeze of Navia’s body around her elicited nothing more than an occasional breathy sigh, which only served to frustrate Navia more.

Summary
Evernight only ever saw herself as a failsafe since manifesting from March 7th’s desires. This body, March 7th’s body, is not hers, nor is it her life to live. Instead, Evernight is a guardian, a protector, a mere watcher from the shadows that brings destruction in her wake. She’s supposed to fade into the background, undisturbed and forgotten until she’s needed once more. March 7th and her dearest companions, however, have other ideas.
