Summary
"Rachel!" Tim moves forward with purpose and he reaches her within seconds, slamming into her hard. She lets out a startled cry that immediately gets drowned out by the explosion.
The blast is bigger than he expects it to be.
He's lifted off his feet and thrown backwards before he lands roughly on the uneven ground. Dirt and rocks rain down on him, bouncing off his cheeks and caking his eyelashes, obstructing his view of the blue sky above him.

Summary
"Y'know there were rumours about his family growin' up." Raylan drawls as he steers the car down the winding dirt road. It's narrow and has not been maintained.
"What kind of rumors?"
"Oh, you know. Incestuous cannibals, hunting people for sport. That sort of thing." Raylan chuckles. "Think our parents used to tell us them stories to keep us from coming up to these woods."

Summary
Tim was usually hyperaware of his surroundings. This habit stemmed from years of listening for his father's heavy boots stumbling down the hallway of their trailer. It was a hard habit to drop, but the harder habit to drop was hyperfocusing on his target. That came from intense training and a seemingly primal need to do whatever was necessary to either track down or take out that target.
Had he been paying closer attention to his surroundings, he might've been prepared for getting hit in the face by a brick of cocaine.
