Summary
After Rhaenyra was sent back by the Fourteen Flames to prevent the Dance of the Dragons, she was unable to do so. The Dance commenced and the loss to the world was profound. The Gods declared one more attempt to shift the fabric of fate and called forth a Champion to do so. One they hoped would have the will to do what was necessary to rewrite the fate of Westeros.
Brought to a new world, given a new fate, one woman must fight for not just the throne but her new family. She must shape the world anew, and prove she was worthy of the gods’ faith.

Summary
The Targaryen women, except for Queen Alysanne, had always struggled to perform their duty, as if there was some defect in them. A punishment from the seven, her uncle used to mutter in the privacy of their chambers. Alicent had always ignored such voices, too lost in her friendship with the Princess and the idea that such matters were of no concern to her given her station. But now that she was the Queen, the same thoughts plagued her mind since Rhaenyra announced she was with child.
And so Alicent prayed to seven to either lead Rhaenyra to the proper path so that she would come to her senses and step down from the position of heir herself, or she would succumb to the same disease as her mother, and die trying to give birth to an heir. It was for the best of everyone, removing any threats to her children and the kingdom.
This was why she was surprised to hear the news of Rhaenyra giving birth to twins without experiencing the same problems as her mother.
