Summary
This is based on the story of the two maidens that were found in the ruins of Pompeii, who were later discovered to be two men that had hidden together during the eruption of Mount Vesuvius, the older of the two tried to shelter the younger of the two with their own body to hide them from the disaster that was happening outside. The men are speculated to be lovers but since it happened such along time ago it is just speculation. I wanted to try and encapsulate their story in a short one-shot or a sort of poem just because i was inspired by the picture of their embrace and the news story from 2017.
