[AU: Supernatural]
But just before Bruce could walk away, Jordan grabbed his wrist.
"What," Bruce hissed, wondering if Jordan had seen something. But he was- he was still just staring at Bruce, his hand still locked around Bruce's wrist, and "Hal, what," he said, quieter, rougher.
“The job’s done. The succubus— it's dead,” Hal rasped.
“Yes…?”
“You'll be heading out tomorrow. I don’t know… I don’t know when I’ll see you again.”
“Hal…?”
“If you're going to punch me, you should do it now,” Hal whispered all in a rush, and then pulled him close, and— and kissed him.
[Or, the one in which they don't have superpowers, and there aren't any aliens, but they save they save the world anyway — and also, fall in love.]

Summary
There are 5 steps to a long con:
1. Foundation work: Preparations are made in advance of the game, including the hiring of any assistants required and studying the background knowledge needed for the role.
2. Approach: The victim is approached or contacted.
3. Build-up: The victim is given an opportunity to profit from participating in a scheme. The victim's greed is encouraged, such that their rational judgment of the situation might be impaired.
4. Pay-off or convincer: The victim receives a small payout as a demonstration of the scheme's purported effectiveness. This may be a real amount of money or faked in some way. In a gambling con, the victim is allowed to win several small bets. In a stock market con, the victim is given fake dividends.
5. The “Hurrah”: A sudden manufactured crisis or change of events forces the victim to act or make a decision immediately. This is the point at which the con succeeds or fails.
OR
Hal is adamant that he's not going to spend Bruce's money. Bruce intends to change his mind about that. (A sort-of 5+1 fic)

Okay, Hal actually knew many people who were happy with their soulmates. It still didn’t mean he had to find his. He wouldn’t even know where to start looking. So he didn’t look.

Summary
“You know who he is married to ?” Barry asked.
He looked curiously hopeful. Bruce collected information on everyone but he wasn’t the kind of man who would share them. Especially this one.
“It’s a conversation you should have with him, not me,” he said.
And one he needed to have with Hal too. They wouldn’t be able to keep their relationship secret for much longer. Leaguers were nosy.
“You want us to respect Hal’s privacy. You ? You probably know the color of his toothbrush.” Arthur snorted.
Bruce barely refrained from saying that he did, but not for the reasons they would have expected.
