Burns through the very core of him and Aziraphale wonders if this is what it feels like to fall. Then hands. Rough. Grasping. Why would there be hands? There’s a breathlessness. That must be the fall itself. Oxygen deprivation as he plummets. That must be it.
But it doesn’t feel terrible. Shouldn’t it feel terrible? No, it feels… like power. Like liberation."
Aziraphale has never slept much. So when his nocturnal endeavours yield some surprising results, there's only one being in the universe that might be able to answer his questions. Only his demon's not talking.
