“So, Brit pick,” she drawls, and laughter trails up from the audience, “you have a name to go with your rude attitude and -’ she pauses and circles the air head-level in front of him “ - ridiculously gorgeous face?”
“Charles,” he says, and tags on with a little stooped bow, “Miss. At your service.” He can be a little playful, too.
“Oh, at my service?” Barbara echoes flirtatiously, playing the audience for more laughs. She steps forward to grab his chin, forcing him to raise his eyes to meet hers. From so close, he can smell her, hair powder and makeup and a bit of musk from where the stage lights must make her sweat in her sequin frock.
Her fingers are warm on his face, her grip strong. Something zings in the air between them - chemistry, he thinks, thrilled. He knows he's grinning, but so is she, unable to hide her delight. “We’ll see if you can be of service,” she announces dryly, to roaring laughter, painted lips curled into a smile, her voice dripping with innuendo.

Summary
When the federation wants them to initiate contact with a telepathic race that only allows couples to speak, Jim and Spock have to convince the entire crew that they're in a relationship. That's easy. The hard part is keeping it fake, especially when it turns out that Spock's mind accidentally attached itself to Jim's god-knows-how-long-ago and now they have a whole nother mess to untangle.
At least the aliens are nice.
