He could feel the frown on his face deepen and he clasped his hands in front of him again leaning on the table as he considered what he should do. He took a deep inhale trying hard to think of something, anything to ease his conscience that he wasn’t forcing this man into marriage when he wasn’t ready, but also that didn’t hurt the Jiang sect.
“Doesn’t the Lan clan have strict courting requirements?” He says after a while looking over the Lan elders and sect leader.

But in order to stop what feels like a forced marriage the Jiang alpha suggests he courts the Lan omega to stall and give the older male time, only to end himself up having to follow the Lan sect's rigid and detailed courting process because of it.
