It was a fairly ordinary portrait, and yet it wasn’t. There were three people in it. Seated in the middle with her silver hair and golden eyes was Lady Aristia La Monique—smiling. Standing behind her was Lord Allendis De Verita, also smiling. But then there was Carsein De Rass kneeling on the side of Aristia’s chair, grinning.
The maids whisper of this beautiful painting. They were the Three Masters of this house. Lord Allendis, the future Marquess La Monique once Marquess Keirean renounced his position. Lady Aristia, who was kind and responsible even though she was frail, the perfect future Marchioness. And Sir Carsein, the knight who abandoned even his own family to protect the Lord and Lady of this house.
“There was even a rumor three of them are in a relationship,” Haren said as he organized Ruve’s clothes. “To the point that they won’t be surprised if Lady Aristia gave birth to a child with red hair.” Ruve’s eyes shot to his attendant, chilling. “Calm down, Your Majesty. I’m just telling you about some rumors.”
