Summary
Katsuki was twelve when his village burned.
Seven years later, he has no home, no tribe, and no family left except Dynamight, the dragon who survived with him. They go wherever the wind takes them, never staying long enough to belong.
Then Izuku finds him half-dead in the forest. Katsuki wakes with a knife at Izuku’s throat, a wounded dragon at his side, and every intention of leaving the moment his injuries heal.
Unfortunately, Izuku is stubborn. His village is worse. And no one seems to understand that Katsuki is not something meant to be kept.

Summary
Under different circumstances, Katsuki would have loved to visit a town such as this one. But this was not a relaxing getaway. It was a nightmare that he would not wake from, with Todoroki as his only anchor to the life he knew.
Completely isolated in the eerie stillness of the day’s onset, this place was not home. This place was an alien entity wrapped in a dangerous illusion of familiarity.
Shouto and Katsuki found themselves inexplicably lost and alone in a world that they were ill equipped to handle. They must cling to each other like a lifeline, despite it being foreign to both of them, because this wasn’t a team building exercise. In this world, working together was akin to survival.

And it’s finally quiet, in the hospital. Dark enough without the overhead lights that the entire wing feels calm and his body doesn’t twitch uncomfortably at the constant surveillance he’s under during the day. It’s quiet, and he’s alone.
Every day that he’s been out of surgery, that’s about the moment Izuku shows up.
He’s less and less unprepared for the sound of his door being opened at this hour, the mechanical click from the handle and the heavy, low squeak of the panel shifting slowly ajar. It’s been about a week, now. Even the first time, Katsuki had a hard time feeling the shock he tells himself he maybe should have.
Instead, like every other time, he feels relief.
