Formula one cars move at over 300 km/h. That means over 80 meters go by in a second; and that is the reason why drivers train their reflexes.
Oscar barely saw it coming his way, it came at him too suddenly, but that is no excuse, he trains his reflexes for a reason.
Later, reviewing the onboards and multiple track cameras, he’d learn that Max had swerved too close over the edge and displaced the debris. It bumped into the side of his car and the wind sent it flying backwards right onto Oscar’s path.
But that is at a later date, right now Oscar tries to swerve to avoid the mysterious object.
And he fails.

Summary
For Lewis Hamilton, his pack was his everything: his lifeline, the family he’d chosen and would protect with every breath. Over the years he had built it piece by piece, taking in rogue wolves, wounded wolves, anyone that needed shelter and a place to belong. He gave them love, purpose and a home.
The Hamilton Pack began small, just Lewis and his omega colleague, Sebastian Vettel. Then came Fernando Alonso and Mark Webber, and alpha-omega pair they stumbled across on the road, with Mark Webber soon becoming Sebastian’s mate. Later they found a lone wolf in Kimi Raïkkönen, quiet and distant, but loyal in the way solitary wolves could be. The pack stayed small, but it was steady, warm and held together by fierce affection for one another.
Lewis quickly realized his packmates had a talent for finding strays. Every few weeks, someone returned with another lost wolf in need of a place to land. Lewis never turned them away. He was building something meant to keep his brothers safe, and the more of them there were, the stronger they all became. His pack was his heart.
Soon, his loyalty would be tested, because someone out there carried a grudge, and they were coming for him and for the wolves he loved most.
