“I had scoliosis,” Peter whispered, not looking away from where they’d heard the metal snap. He had gone pale. Bucky was sure he was a few shades lighter, himself. “That’s… that’s what I was gonna say before."
“Yeah?” Bucky asked. He loosened his grip on Peter’s shoulder, but didn’t take his hand away.
“My back still hurts sometimes,” Peter explained quietly. “But that might be because of the swinging. Hard to find a strong enough chiropractor to crack it, you know? Maybe… maybe two thousand tons of concrete would do it, though.” Bucky leveled his gaze at the kid. Peter looked back at him, swallowing hard.
“Let’s call that Plan B, okay?” Bucky suggested.
“Yeah, okay,” Peter mumbled.

Or, Peter gets caught in the collapse of a parking garage with a (mildly) concussed Bucky Barnes, and has a nice get-to-know-you sesh with our favorite super soldier while waiting for Tony to find a safe way get them out. Super chill, right? Everything's fine. Oh- and he's been impaled by two rods of rebar and can't move without risking bleeding out. That... complicates things.

A routine meeting is held to nominate new members. There, the Teen Titans are recommended.
Batman knows this is a bad idea. He tries to stop it. The league doesn't listen. Nightwing, Flamebird, Aqualad, Wonder Girl, and Superboy are invited to join.
The league doesn't know who Batman is. They don't even know he has kids.
And with that, Flamebird uses this opportunity to create the greatest joke of his life. One that might just go down in Watch Tower history.

“What are you playing at, Lantern?” Batman’s lips are pulled into a frown, and his tone is searching, prodding– like he’s trying to see if Hal is joking or genuinely knows.
Hal raises his hands in mock surrender to show he means no harm. “Look, the code of capes, masks, and cowls: I won’t tell anyone your civilian identity.” He smiles. “I’m just letting you know that I know so that you know I’m the smartest in the League.”
“What are you talking about?” Batman applies the same tactic as earlier.
“Well, you’re the smartest, I digress– so maybe I’m the second smartest, but finding out your identity? C’mon Brucie, give me some credit, it’s pretty impressive.”
“Don’t call me that.”
