Summary
Since the day he was born, Keigo’s life was not his. Whether it be his parents or the commission who used him to get money, someone was always there to own him; but he was content with that. No matter how much they used him, or how much they abused him, he couldn’t hate them. Maybe it was his heroic side, or perhaps just the response of a traumatized child, but he has never hated them.
But that doesn’t mean he respected them either. His parents were pieces of shit drug addicts, and the commission abused children for money. How could he morally respect that? And why couldn’t he hate them? Why, after everything, is he still so attached?
And now he has a choice. He can choose himself, or he can choose the commission, and he already knows which one he’s gonna pick.

Hawks REALLY needs a hug. Preferably from someone who isn’t a rapist. On his quest for love, he finds a hot guy—as in he’s literally hot—who seems to be into him. But does he even deserve that love?

This is an optional read, as it isn’t too important to the plot of HIYFY, but I added it anyways to hopefully explain why Hawks acts the way he does in the main fic. Also it won’t be in chronological order (probably) because the ideas come at different times and if I organize the chapters it might confuse people who aren’t reading this finished. It’s episodic though so that shouldn’t really matter much, and context will be given when needed or available.

Summary
Hawks is a fiction. The red-winged golden child of the Commission. A carefully crafted lie.
Keigo is a bird in a cage looking for his chance at freedom. He has to learn that freedom means becoming something he never planned to be and accepting parts of himself he always hoped to hide.
Or, Hawks finds his quirk amplified and has to deal with all of the new impulses and urges. It doesn't help that the members of the league of villains decide to be devils on his shoulder accepting and encouraging his more predatory nature every chance they get.
