After being shot in the head, Wesker suffers brain damage and memory loss. The BSAA decides to inflict more damage to push the amnesia further in order to trick him into switching sides by feeding him a lie about his own life and morals. Chris puts himself on the case, being used as the best indication of how much Wesker truly remembers since he won't talk to anyone else. But Chris isn't sure he can bear to witness all of their tumultuous history being washed away. He can't be the only one who remembers... he can't stand the thought of a day that Wesker doesn't remember who he is.

“We really must stop meeting like this, Christopher.” Wesker’s words were a cold mocking blade that sliced through the stagnant air of the lab. Chris didn't expect to run into the man here of all places. The trail he had been chasing was a weak one through the wilds of Europe. Barely a whim. A tiny lab on the very dredges of an isolated little town forgotten by the rest of the world, fitting for a lab that was seemingly forgotten by Umbrella itself.
“If you'd just stay dead then that wouldn't be a problem, Wesker!” Chris barked back as he lunged over a desk to find cover enough to hide. Wesker was too fast for him to fight like this. Chris lacked any decent places to evade him and firing his gun was just wasting his already precious ammo supply.
“Tsk tsk tsk. You should know better than to try to hide from me, Christopher.” Wesker taunted, the haughty laughter grew like a thunder crack in the air.
