    Summary

Five years after graduating from Hogwarts and Pansy has mostly managed to dodge her title as the Girl Who Tried to Sell Harry Potter Out. Working as a trainee Healer at St. Mungo’s, she has to suffer a number of indignities - unpleasant bodily fluids (expected), fuchsia scrubs (unflattering), meddling parents (infuriating) and most troubling of all, a plant-obsessed Auror with a long memory and an inconvenient tendency to pay attention to her when she least wants it (unexpected, infuriating and confusing).

Will Pansy manage to become a Healer? Will she ever reveal her middle name? And will Neville ever actually leave her the hells alone?

(As it turns out, a plant-obsessed Auror with infinite patience and large hands is considerably more of a problem than Pansy had anticipated.)

“So…” he started after a long and uncomfortable silence.

“No,” Pansy said sharply, holding up a finger. “Absolutely not discussing this.”

    “But…”

“Not a word, Weasley,” she said. “I don’t even remember anything happening, do you?” Ron shook his head. “Perfect, then it never happened.”

She got up on her knees so she could put her arms around his neck. “Be safe,” she whispered. “Please be safe.”

He couldn’t promise. “I’ll do my best.” He took a minute to get his voice under control. “Listen to me, sweetheart, this is important. No matter what, no matter what happens, we have this. We love each other. Even if …”

“No,” she protested, putting her hand over his mouth.

He pulled away and shook his head. “No, I want to say it. Even if I die in this fight, I have no regrets. I’ve been happier with you than I ever thought I could be. Whether it’s next week or eighty years from now, my last thought will be Pansy loves me, and I’ll die happy.”

She took his hand and laced her fingers with his, doing her best to channel some of his reckless Gryffindor bravery, tears running down her face anyway. “The same for me, always. No regrets.”

    Summary

Five years after the war had ended, and in the wake of countless losses, the Ministry introduced what it called a Reformation Program. Pansy knew better, it was merely a prettier name for a repopulation scheme.

For months, she had dismissed it as nothing more than a rumor. But when a scarlet envelope arrived at the vast Parkinson Manor, where she now lived alone, her life came to a halt. Tearing it open, she found out that her assigned match was Neville Longbottom, freshly hailed as a hero, and someone she had spent years tormenting.

Within moments, everything turned upside down.

They were to be married in five days.
And the marriage had to be consummated within a week.
