“I know,” Dane said again, pressing his nose into Finn’s hair. He smelt clean like he always did, hints of fresh linen and coconut and the sharp accent of frost that Dane had learnt to love over the Summer. He hoped to the fucking stars that he would never forget this smell. “Please, just. Just a few more seconds.”
And Finn did settle for those few seconds. Dane bowed his head and pressed his lips against his wings again. The cold was a harsh shock to his senses, but he didn’t care. If he could, he would kiss Finn’s wings until his lips turned blue. He would kiss Finn’s wings for forever.
