The war has ended and Severus Snape has been hurriedly placed on house arrest by the Wizengamot...indefinitely. It seems that nobody knows that he survived Nagini's venom, but Severus has plenty of ways to blame himself and justify why nobody has reached out. And, it seems, part of the punishment is for him to be completely isolated, save an Unspeakable that comes to check up on him from time to time and does not (or cannot) speak at all. But when he begins to experiment with a dreaming potion, Severus finds an escape that he never knew existed, and faces that he knows would hate him in reality but who soothe his weary soul in the dreaming world. As he grows more and more obsessed with remaining unconscious, strange things begin to happen in the waking world, and those who thought him dead begin to wonder...are they dreaming?

The battle of Hogwarts is over and Hermione Granger is ready to take a well-deserved break when she is suddenly flung back in time. She promptly gives a much younger Dumbledore all the information he could possibly need to locate and destroy the horcruxes, and hopefully halt Voledmort's rise to power. She kindly declines his request for further assistance, she hasn’t even completed her N.E.W.T.s yet! She is soon attending classes alongside Harry’s parents and the Marauders yet feeling very alone. She can’t tell anyone the truth of herself, or can she?
Perhaps it would be safe to confide in someone with a natural talent for Occlumency, an accomplished liar who could spy for both sides but would ultimately be on the side of light? Yet this Severus Snape is not the accomplished Potions Master she once knew and trusted. She decides to strike a deal with him, and they come to an accord, secrecy for each of them, Occlumency lessons for her, and revenge against the Marauders for him. Hermione supposes revenge isn’t a very heroic, Gryffindor thing to do but she has always been good at making plans, and really, if the school administration won’t punish a bunch of bullies then taking it into their own hands is only practical.Series
