Danse nodded against her body, the feeling of her holding him made his memory clearer, but..as he thought of the fabricated image of the mother that he did not have- Nora’s image began to replace the ghost of a woman in his mind.
The same sense of security grew within him as he replaced his "mother’s" image with Nora. Nora was his everything, she was his cause, she was his reason for living. She took the broken man he was and somehow decided that she loved him. Everything that he felt for the ghost of a woman in his mind was the same he felt for Nora.
He loved the mother he did not have, and he loved Nora in all ways he knew how to love.
