Summary
It’s raining.
Stormy above, and yet, inside Yuji it is peaceful.
Thunder rips through the air, lightning crackling into the ground as Yuji stands, hands in his pockets: staring at the ground: it’s shifted, slightly, maybe that’s just from him accidentally stepping on the dirt.
Or… maybe it hasn’t, have the years begun to catch up with him? The plan had failed, he could still try and figure it out on his own… but, Nobara had withered, Todo had withered, all his former seniors and classmates were dead, and Panda was only conscious at random moments.
So here he was, the grave of the first of his friends to die: Megumi. If Megumi had been here then they would have figured everything out immediately, then again… he might have died from stress anyway. Megumi would still have understood the urgency that they needed to find some contingency for cursed spirits, wouldn’t he? Would Megumi have agreed with the removal of cursed energy from Japan to begin with? Part of Yuji didn’t think so.

Geto has a rise and fall as a curse; the realisation of an eternal cycle, until he meets the individual outside it.

Gaius Julius Octavius Caesar keeps getting into the trouble, seemingly by nature of his very existence - his family die, his friends die; it is a fact for his life, a fact he will always wish to alter - not that its the main focus, he’s easily distracted.
Criticism is welcome; though the fic is over now, so I doubt it would matter.

Itadori Yuji has always been special.

When Yuji turns ten he questions if it is really best to be special and an exception to the majority. Unlike everyone else he can see monsters, and thus he has to be a protector… right?
