    Lan Wangji has no idea why he is accompanying Wei Wuxian part of the way back to Yunmeng. These are starting to look like troubling times, he supposes, considering the rising conflict with the Wen clan, but he has learned very well lately that Wei Wuxian is a highly accomplished and skilled cultivator – no matter how much Wei Wuxian likes to present himself like an easy-going, uncultured, almost unmannered youngster who plays pranks on Lan Wangji and bothers him with a million things. But oh, all those little things with which he nags Lan Wangji… maybe they do actually impress him.

    Or: On a hot, hot summer day when they are seventeen, one thing leads to another and Lan Wangji finds himself tumbling around with Wei Wuxian in the green grass somewhere en route to Yunmeng, only mother nature watching them lose any restraint – and that more than once.
    Their feelings rising and their passion burning high, what future is there for them in the face of a conflict that soon turns icy cold?

    Lan Zhan knows that face. It's Wei Ying.

    His head is thrown back, eyes closed, baring a long line of throat interrupted only by his adam's apple. He's pulling the mic stand towards him as he belts out a high note, long and piercing, the crowd screaming along with him. He cuts it off and snaps his eyes open – the camera catches it head on and for a single breath, it's almost as if he's looking straight at Lan Zhan.

    Wei Wuxian accidentally buys an explicit novel to entertain himself with on a redeye flight. Left with no other option for amusement (and enjoying it far more than he cares to admit), he decides to keep reading. However, when his stuffy, judgmental seat-mate catches him, he discovers a more interesting way to pass the time.

     

    “He plunges his dripping cock back into the slick, warm channel of his mouth," Wei Wuxian reads aloud. "Mercilessly pushing forward until his balls brush against those plush —”

    “INDECENT!” The man rips the book from his hands.

    Wei Wuxian cackles, clutching his sides as the man glares at him, his previously stony face twisted in muted horror.
