Giratina had a job to do, locate the human named Ingo Gray, and transport him back into Hisui, as per his destiny, as written by Arceus.
Ingo was a measly 17 years old, and not nearly strong enough for what was to come.
So the God of Distortion did what it thought was best. It patched up the child, apologized, and sent him early. If the child was truely not strong enough, Giratina would send someone else to repair the tracks.
