Clark hears how Bruce's breath hitches, catching in his throat. It only spurs Clark on.

When they started dating, it felt only natural to keep it quiet. To keep the circle small—after all, as close as Batman and Superman were, Clark Kent and Bruce Wayne were strangers. For them to suddenly start dating, out of nowhere, it would raise questions neither were prepared to answer. The flush that blooms across Kent's cheeks is delicious. His laugh is quiet, warm, disarmingly human for a man who could bench-press a freight train.
"No. I'm… single. Broke up a few months ago and since then I've kind of been… you know."
The softness in Kent's tone coaxes a quiet smile from Bruce. He almost feels guilty for offering something so filthy and impulsive. Almost. But Kent's pupils are already wide, dark with interest. His body betrays whatever hesitation might still live in his mind.
"Must get lonely," Bruce whispers, his mouth brushing close to Kent's ear.
(Or, Bruce is undercover when he crosses paths with Clark Kent. Sleeping with him wasn't exactly part of the mission… but honestly, have you seen those dimples?)

It's all very confusing. And the sleep-deprivation really isn't helping.

There’s a new dating app in town, but this one is just for superheroes. You don’t use your name or callsign and there’s no photos, only a short bio. The idea is to talk about personal lives AND hero-ing without specifics, keeping both their secret identity secret and their hero persona in place.
Dick signs Bruce up. Clark signs up willingly. They accidentally match up and even for the World's Greatest Detective, it takes a while to figure it out. In part because he isn't trying to figure it out, that's the whole point! But also because Boy Scout Superman is definitely straight and definitely not a dude who hangs out at a farm in his free time.
And Superman is confident that Batman probably lives in some random cave system like the gremlin he is, and doubts he even HAS a secret identity because he is so consumed by his Batman persona. Even if he did, he definitely wouldn't join a dating app. That would require wanting to interact with other people and also the capability to smile.- Language:
