She laughed out loud at this, not of malice but finding the genuine humor in his deadpan tone. “I was going to say I always thought you would hate it.”
He wondered why she never said so before if she thought that. She was always good at letting him be himself, and that included making his own mistakes. She didn’t share her opinion on the ritual at all, just let him choose for himself. He found himself laughing a bit too. “I do not regret the Ascension, but it coming with the noble title and the palace and all Cazador’s business contacts is, well, it is agonizing.”

Astarion and Tav break up post game due to Astarion's choice to complete the ritual. They reunite at the Reunion party and play a game of question and answer to catch up. Loosely based off of Sabrina Carpenter's song Busy Woman.

"So you didn't need the scroll after all."
Astarion snorted a laugh under his nose before remembering that pretending not to eavesdrop meant he couldn’t just randomly laugh at their conversation.
But then he saw it happen. Thiriann’s lips twitched, stretching into a beautiful, brilliant smile directed right at the wizard. Gods, the sight of it could take a man's breath away.
It became blatantly obvious to Astarion that he hadn’t seen it often. And it certainly was never directed at him.
Astarion is having a hard time trying to grapple with the emergence of a myriad of new feelings that keep coming ever since he started sleeping with Thiriann, the leader of their little group.

Astarion had a bit of a hunch when you said that, curious to see what kind of fiction he'd find among your things. Everything starts to escalate when he finds your journal, detailing all of your little fantasies.
-Smirking lightly, he exaggeratedly picks up the book, lifting it up to his face with a flourish as his eyes slowly begin tracing the contents of the page. "You know, here I thought you were someone with more... vanilla tastes." He gently strokes the spine of the book with his long, slender fingers, before closing it and placing it beside him. You swallow nervously. "How delighted I am to be proved wrong."
