    In a world of mystery and danger, one man has never been good at leaving well enough alone.

    Vaska, a wandering storyteller from an ancient world of epic adventure wakes up in 2015 Alaska, surrounded by mechanical monsters and annoying werewolves. Where once he was one of many powerful beings vying for control over Creation, he now holds a unique power, one he could use to make himself a king resplendent in riches, luxury, and attractive younger men. Unfortunately, he's being hunted by a worldwide conspiracy, and worse, his Goddess has noticed him and insists he "save the world from the apocalypse" or whatever. And what did happen to get him thrown Ages into the future, anyhow?

    (This fic is intended to be readable without knowing the settings involved and may absolutely does diverge heavily from canon metaplot.)

    In one world, there exists heroes beyond human ken. Of the sun, of the moon, of fate. Of death and of primordial cruelty. This world laboured under its own weight, sinking deeper and deeper into the deepest place to ever exist. Now, these heroes face off against the nothingness that their sins have wrought, to stave it off for a while longer. All the while, their fallen prisoners pour open from wounds wrought by Blood.

    In one world, there exists a dying world whose attempts to save itself over and over again have amounted to nothing. Humanity has completely divorced itself from the world, indulging in their dying and dwindling Mystery while blood-sucking monsters stalk the night for prey. Deranged humans devoid of humanity dig deeper and deeper to reach the centre.

    In the first world, there exists an Emperor of Blood. In the second world, there exists a False Life. The two have met, and an accord has been struck.
