That's what the text had said. He was a little taken aback, because he hadn't expected to see Haru as a female so soon. A part of him just imagined Haru would continue being a male in his presence, since that's the gender presented the day they crossed paths. Or rather, the day Rin had heard that familiar, soft voice as he was browsing through a clothing store.

What a difference a change in profession makes. Rin hadn’t ignored the growing desire to learn more about cooking, scheduled the appropriate classes and had managed to find a job at a local restaurant. It’s as if all the change and goodness and savoring was apparent in the swell of that jolly little gut and Haru finds himself wanting to squeeze Rin’s middle in celebration...
