Summary
after years of being in the octarian army, you finally escape and move to splatsville. you start to indulge yourself in endless turf wars and then turn to assassinations. you are given one of the biggest targets, shiver, one beloved of all in splatsville and later catches your eye even more.
this is a small project I will be working on, leaning to 20-25 chapters and around 1k-2k words each chapter. I'm trying to update every other week on either Wednesday or Sunday but will easily go on hiatus. Beware that Shiver is Intersex and will have Any/all pronouns. SI will be using they/them pronouns.

Summary
Keep living, best you can.
That was the order. Given once, on a space station that was falling apart, by the only person who ever looked at her and saw a kid instead of a project. She followed it the way she followed every order — precisely, without questioning, without understanding what it actually meant.
She finds a town. A family takes her in. She tries to repay them — cleaning, calculating, making herself small and useful enough to justify the oxygen — because debt is the only relationship she understands. Nobody asks her to stop. Nobody tells her the debt isn't real. A boy with two tails just opens up her eye one afternoon and doesn't flinch at what he finds inside, and the whole framework cracks a little.
Turns out "keep living, best you can" gets complicated when people start giving you reasons to.
