    “I’m listening, Grand Master.”

The most words Lohen had spoken in the past five minutes. Varka couldn’t waste this opportunity!

He let out a sigh. “You can’t blame me for finding that hard to believe. Repeat what I just said.”

Lohen let out an even longer sigh. “You want me to clean out the late Captain Adorno’s office and put his most precious belongings in a box for his loved ones to receive. Heard you loud and clear.”

In which Lohen is given a unique task as the Fifth Company's Vice Captain. It isn't fun, but it isn't pointless either.

    “So. The curtains?”

“A little sunlight will do you good,” responds Varka, walking over to the window and stretching out his arms like he’s a plant about to photosynthesise.

He smiles pleasantly, the very picture of a gentleman. “And we’ll hope that your next drink of Dandelion Wine will do you any good.”

    “You’re welcome to try, kid.”

lohen's confrontation with ursa leaves him a little more injured and bedridden. varka comes to visit him.

    Summary

Mondstadt City — otherwise known as the City of Freedom. Cobblestone streets wound between windmills and the red-roofed shops of the Market District, while at its heart, the Crown of the North remained as lively as ever. Merchants haggled over the price of goods, and the sweet aroma drifting from the flower shop carried past Knights of Favonius guards standing at their posts (far too lazily for Lohen’s liking).

Life, he thought, carried on the way it always did, even when circumstances changed. Reuniting with his homeland should have put him at ease; the expedition had been a treacherous journey, after all. He almost hadn’t made it back alive.

And yet, home wasn’t the same. No, it would never be.

    Not without Adorno.

“Oh, hello little dragon. What are you up to?”

“I just wanted to ask the Grandmaster if there’s some jobs I could help with, since I wanted to practise some new moves I learned…” Durin explained, his voice going quieter with every word he uttered.

Lohen’s brows raised. “Oh would you look at that! I know just the thing to help you.” Lohen mused, his face beaming. It resembled sunlight reflecting off of the frozen river in Dragonspine.

“That won’t be necessary.” Varka interjected, before Durin got the chance to say anything. “I have a job for you, Lohen.”

5 times Lohen tries to convince Durin to fight him + 1 time Durin agrees.

“Sure! If you’re looking for food, there’s a good place to look.” Kirara gave him a toothy grin, swaying her tails happily. “It’s reeal facy though. So I never ate there.”

    “Where do you normally eat?”

“Mostly just catch my own stuff or I get street food with my paycheck. Anything I can eat on the move, y’know?”

    “So… what’s your favourite?”

“I love Sashimi platter! It’s soo good. Not as good as Granny’s cooking but good enough. All of those fish on one plate is a total paradise!”

“Fish… I have a friend who loves grilled fish.” Durin thought for a moment. Klee would always be the happiest when they got to “hunt” fish. Durin had even a chance to grill some of them for her and he had to admit he loved the taste.

“Grilled, fried, raw… I don’t really care which one it is. As long as it’s fresh fish, I’m happy.” She purred.

“Raw? But isn’t eating raw meat dangerous?” Durin raised an eyebrow.

“Maybe, but a nekomata’s stomach is much stronger than regular’s person.”

    “Oh I see.”

Durin learns about what kind of foods he can and can’t eat.
