It had been exactly a week since Telemachus and Antinous… what, had a weird fight for no reason? And Telemachus was being forced to admit that Antinous was avoiding him. It was a novel experience, honestly. Telemachus hated it.
Sure, he and Antinous weren’t… a couple, or anything, but they had been fucking each other exclusively for a while there. It wasn’t anything but that. And yet, they’d been… exclusive. Probably. Telemachus had been, anyway. It was probably stupid of him to think Antinous wasn’t fucking other people on the side.
(And why did that thought make bitterness bloom in Telemachus’ guts?)

Summary
Antinous groaned in Telemachus’ ear, tempting Telemachus to slam his head backwards and see if anything would break. That wouldn’t really do anything for him, except earn him a few minutes of wrestling, and honestly, he was sick of fighting. He wanted to get off and go back to his room and enjoy being away from everyone for a while.

"Antinous wasn't sure he had ever been the lucky man to make Telemachus laugh. The natural laugh that rang through the halls like a bard's ballads, the song gifted from the gods. If Antinous had been given such an honour he didn't think their tryst would have lasted. It would have pushed him over the edge, and caused him to do something foolish."
Telemachus sneeks Antinous into his room yet again, but this time the lord refuses to partake in their usual activities. Too many emotions have shown up between them, and they have become too hard to ignore. They may not complelty admit to the truth tonight, but they aren't willing to ignore it anymore. Something between them must change, for better or worse.
