„Es ist ein gutes Ende, finde ich.“, meinte Glorfindel und wandte sich ebenfalls wieder dem Farbenspiel am Himmel zu, Erestors Hand immer noch nicht loslassend.
„Das ist es.“, stimmte sein Freund zu. „Ein sehr viel besseres Ende als ich lange Zeit dachte, dass wir es bekommen würden.“

Summary
The first thing Erestor remembered were the stars. There were hundreds, thousands, millions of them standing above him in the sky, and they were the most beautiful thing he had ever seen. Those first days, weeks, months, perhaps even years that he spent with the others by that lake where they had awakened later felt more like a dream than something that had truly happened. They called themselves the Quendi, those who spoke with voices, but among themselves they also called each other the Children of the Stars, for the stars were the first and the most beautiful thing they had ever seen.

Summary
A lot of the time, Eris needs a trusted healer. Luckily, he met Cleo and she's more than happy to help, which he doesn't understand but appreciates anyway. He's also totally, head-over-heels, sickeningly in love with her. Which is a problem, because his father will definitely makes sure she meets a worse fate than Jesminda's if he ever finds out.
Fortunately, Eris plans on making the coming Autumn Equinox the last one his father will ever see.

Nyx sniffled and then began to laugh, reaching for the gold in Eris' ears. Eris grinned, holding him tighter. “Clever nightling.” Nyx tugged at his hair, wrapping his fingers around the gold hoop in one ear. Eris snickered softly, then cooed, utterly unbothered, “Who’s already smarter than his father?”
Nyx giggled, warbling something unintelligible.
“Yes, I quite agree,” Eris said with mock solemnity. “I would like me better too.”

He keeps his gaze forward, as if the city below suddenly requires intense study. As if the drop, the lights, the endless dark have become far more interesting than the fact that Azriel is now sitting beside him like it is the most natural thing in the world.
It is not. Nothing about Azriel is natural.
Eris can taste copper in his mouth. “It is beautiful,” he says softly. “The city.” It is a concession. A surrender, of sorts.
“...Yes.” Azriel's whisper soft voice has an odd tint. Eris tilts his head. That is a more hesitant answer than he would expect. It almost sounds…
He turns to look fully. “Why are you up here?”

Summary
Eris and Azriel were everything, until they weren’t. One day, every moment they spent together was erased, forgotten.
It’s been over three centuries since Azriel has felt whole. He had changed, become a shell of himself. There was no explanation, one day he just woke up, and he was different. It wasn’t noticeable on the surface, but he felt it. There was a void he couldn’t fill, questions he couldn’t answer. He is plagued by dreams he cannot decipher, but as they become clearer, he realises, they just might hold the answer he has been looking for.
Eris was drowning with no way up. Things needed to change, he knew that, he just had no direction on how to do so. He couldn’t help but feel like the gaps in his memories could be the very thing to pull him to the surface.Bookmarked by Luna312
