Summary
In his last moments Desmond thought of Altair. It all began with him. He wished that the man wouldn´t havebeen so alone, wished he could have been there for him; for Malik as well. Maybe, if the precursors had any influence and would grand him a wish, he would ask for a chance to change things for the first people he ever felt cnnected to.
Desmond wishes to go back to change things for the better and not only is granted what he wants, but also alot more-including drama, responsibility and love.

Summary
In the battle of Monteriggioni Desmond gets thrown on the battlefield after touching the eye. He goes unconscious, so he can't defend himself from the templars, who take an interest in him. Not only because he suddenly appeared out of thin air, but also because his arm had the same pattern engraved in his skin, as the apple. They take him as a prisoner and he gets locked up together with Caterina Sforza in a cell in the palace.
When Ezio comes to rescue her, she is determined to not leave without Desmond.
