James slapped a hand on the table. “Mate. Please stop being in love with Sirius from a distance, it’s exhausting for the rest of us.”
Who was he kidding, Remus Lupin was head over fucking heels in love with Sirius Black. Desperately and achingly so. His love for him had crawled into his rib cage and made a home underneath his collarbones. Sirius added fuel to the fire, Remus swore he did.

Summary
Remus is living off the parts of Sirius that he gives to him. The moments of domesticity he bestows on him each day, like a blessing, like a prayer. It’s all over Remus’ face, how he feels. He knows it is. Remus feels like he’s laid himself down, bare, for Black. Sirius takes and takes and doesn’t stop taking.

Summary
He is quite clever, he considers, in the way he doles out his observations. A look in the hallway between classes during which he focuses on Remus’s fingers as they hold his textbooks, is enough to tide him over until lunch. At lunch, he can risk a prolonged glance into his eyes, green and full of speckled yellow spots. This can keep him full until bedtime. At night, he watches Remus in his too big shirt and tiny, tiny shorts that should be illegal, as he puts on his reading glasses and buries himself in some muggle romance novel, and this is enough to fill Sirius’s dreams that night, until he wakes up in the morning and the cycle inevitably begins again.
