"Grayson."
"Hm?"
"If my father ever comes back, do you think I'm acceptable now?"
Dick turned his head so quickly, he could've broken his neck. "What?"
(Based on missveryvery's, in my opinion, amazing drawing from DeviantArt.)

The Straw-Hats had all been offered something that, years ago, they’d accept in a heartbeat.
But now, they have a different answer.
“Sorry," they all grinned. "But we already have a captain.”

"Even though I told them to go away, they still stayed. They stayed and defeated Arlong for me." Nami absent-mindedly brought a hand up to her tattoo on her shoulder. "They gave me freedom from my eight years of hell."
In which Nami and Shirahoshi have a small talk about Luffy and also themselves.

Summary
Some things that Sanji’s early life in Germa had left him with: a love of cooking, a fear of bugs, the unshakable awareness of his own worthlessness, and Xexelia. The first three shaped his life. The fourth one was a pain that he'd have gotten rid of if it wouldn’t have literally killed him to do so.
or,
In which there is a fox. It's very important.

“You kick like a mule, Marimo,” Sanji grits out, throwing yet another bomb Zoro’s way.
“You felt that?” Zoro asks, dismayed.
Sanji nods.
“Do you feel everything that happens to her?” Zoro has hugged and petted that fox too many times to count.
“Only the bad things,” Sanji says, his smirk telling Zoro that he knows what he’s worried about. “If she’s in pain, it’s a signal for me to bring her back.”
“Then why didn’t you?” He remembers Xexe limping towards him earlier. “After I hurt her?”
“I tried. She wouldn’t let me seal her again.”
“Why not?”
“Come on, Marimo. You know she’s fond of you.” Sanji tilts his head back and exhales a cloud of smoke towards the ceiling. “She wasn’t going to leave you until she knew you were safe.”

“I know you’re awake, Bou-san.”
Zoro opens his eyes. There’s a tall and thin figure standing at the threshold of the door to Sanji’s room. The moon sheds enough light for Zoro to see the greyish brown skin stretching over the bones, the fur covering the lower half of this body that a sleep yukata barely hides. He sees hooves, and a long tail moving sinuously in the air. He sees pointy ears and large horns that curl backwards.
When he sleeps, Zoro keeps his katana cradled against his chest, and that’s where they still are. He remembers his training; such a creature should be killed before it can attack.
Zoro sets Wado and Kitetsu on the floor next to himself and moves to be on his knees.
“Cook.” His voice is a broken sigh of relief.

After that, he gets on his elevator. He’s still smiling as the doors start to close, and you can’t help but suspect he’s putting on a brave face for Zoro.
“You selfish piece of shit,” Zoro mutters. The cigarette falls to the floor.
Before you realize what’s happening, Zoro darts forward. The doors aren’t the sort that open again if something stands between them, and so Zoro almost doesn’t manage to get in before they shut.
Almost, but he does. Before the doors close completely, you see Zoro and Sanji embracing each other, and it hits you that Zoro spent twenty-two years in your bar waiting for that man. That Sanji spent twenty-two years thinking about Zoro’s death.
The moment Zoro baited Sanji into a fight, he was willingly dooming himself. You were a fool to try to stand between them.

n. a moment you instantly wish you could take back, feeling a pulse of dread right after crossing the point of no return—a blurted confession, a hurled insult, a final decision you’d been waffling over for months—wanting to take just one step backward in time, reverting to the way things used to be, in the halcyon days of just a minute ago.
Sanji confesses his feelings.
Sanji confesses his feelings.

“Zoro,” he pleads, albeit he doesn't know for what.
“You're safe now, Sanji,” Zoro promises, and Sanji believes him this time. He takes Sanji’s hand and kisses his fingertips. “You'll be fine.”
The moment feels familiar. Sanji’s body remembers this, like it remembers the pain currently bringing tears to his eyes and making him choke on nothing.
“They killed me,” Sanji says, horror dawning on him, eclipsing the simple fear of dying, momentarily making him forget the pain.
“And I undid it. You won’t be hurt again,” Zoro vows, fierce and terrifying. The Demon of the East Blue. The King of Hell. The great love of Sanji’s life. “I swear.”
-
“There are no details, Cook,” Zoro says. “There was no duel.”
Sanji pales. “Shit. Did you miss it because I passed out? Did we get here too late?”
For some reason, Zoro laughs.
“Cook, I postponed it.” He looks at Sanji fondly, almost making him forget that he’s angry at Zoro. “There’s no point in winning that fight if you won’t be there to see it.”
“Huh?” Wow, that sounded dumb. In Sanji’s defense, he doesn’t really understand this. “Zoro, that’s your lifelong dream. You can’t just go and postpone it for that.”
“I can and I did.” Zoro stands as tall as he is, head held high, and Sanji sees a promise in his gaze. “That dream’s kept me going so far, but you’re what comes after. I’ll treat you with the same amount of respect.”

Summary
n. the unease of knowing how quickly your circumstances could change on you—that no matter how carefully you shape your life into what you want it to be, the whole thing could be overturned in an instant, with little more than a single word, a single step, a phone call out of the blue, and by the end of next week you might already be looking back on this morning as if it were a million years ago, a poignant last hurrah of normal life.
The last time Zoro saw him, Sanji was leaving the bar with a woman, tripping over his own feet.

“Sanji!” Zoro calls urgently, kneeling next to the limp form on the floor, taking him into his arms. Sanji’s head lolls with the movement.
There’s no reaction, not even a sound as Zoro maneuvers Sanji into what he hopes is a comfortable position.
“Sanji,” Zoro calls again, softer, supporting Sanji’s head with his arm and checking his pulse. It’s racing, going at a speed that makes it hard for Zoro to keep count of his heartbeats. “Sanji, wake up.”
If his voice comes out pleading, nobody will ever know.
Sanji’s eyelids flutter.
“Sanji,” Zoro repeats, like a charm, a spell, an incantation. “Sanji.” A trail of breadcrumbs for Sanji to follow.
