    Certainly a departure from the happy found family esque fics out there, but beautifully crafted and wonderfully written all the same. I enjoyed (as much as one could enjoy any form of pain) how human the entire cast is made out to be. Everyone’s fighting their own demons, and sometimes people get caught in the crossfire (sometimes they get caught in the crossfire for the greater part of their lives and accept tentative ceasefires as the norm). Shane my mentally unwell baby 💛
